1. About these terms
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the School of Sensual Massage website and your booking of any course, session, event or service provided by the School of Sensual Massage, the educational platform of Intimacy Matters (“we”, “us”, “our”). By submitting an application, making a booking, or attending a course or event, you agree to be bound by these terms.
The School of Sensual Massage is operated by Colin Richards / Intimacy Matters. The School of Sensual Massage is operated by Matters of Intimacy Limited, company number 11860229, registered address C/O Lelliott & Co, Heath Place, Ash Grove, Bognor Regis, England, PO22 9SL.
2. Eligibility
All courses, sessions and events are strictly for adults. You must be aged 18 or over to apply for, book or attend any course, session or event. We may ask for proof of age and reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking where eligibility cannot be confirmed.
Participation requires that you are able to give free and informed consent and that you take part voluntarily.
3. Nature of our training
Our courses provide experiential education in sensual massage, touch, communication and intimacy. They are educational and instructional in nature. They are not a sexual service, and they are not a substitute for medical, psychological, psychosexual or relationship therapy. Where additional support is appropriate, we may refer you, with your consent, to an associate practitioner or expert.
4. Applications, vetting and bookings
To request a place you must complete the relevant Application or Enquiry Form. Submitting a form is a request only and does not constitute a confirmed booking.
We operate a vetting process and accept applicants at our sole discretion. We may decline or withdraw an application where we consider it unsuitable, unsafe, or not aligned with the nature of the training. A booking is confirmed only once we have accepted your application and received the required deposit.
5. Fees, deposits and payment
Course fees are set out in the course information provided to you on application and typically range from approximately £350 to £3,000 depending on the course selected.
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, a 50% deposit is payable in advance to secure your place. The remaining balance may be settled in one of two ways: (1) paid in full on the first day of the course; or (2) spread over the duration of the course, subject to a 2.5% administration charge. Where the spread-payment option is chosen, the balance is divided as follows: Foundation courses, two further payments within one month; Combined courses, three further payments within two months; Professional training, four further payments within three months. Payment may be made by bank transfer, by a card payment link, or via PayPal.
6. Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible. Deposits are non-refundable, as they secure your place and reserve dedicated time.
If we cancel a course or event, we will offer you a transfer to an alternative date or a refund of fees paid for that course or event.
7. Conduct, consent and safety
All courses and sessions are conducted on the basis of mutual respect, clear boundaries and ongoing consent. You may pause, adjust or withdraw your consent at any time.
We expect all participants to behave respectfully towards facilitators and other participants. We reserve the right to end a session or remove a participant, without refund, where behaviour is disrespectful, non-consensual, unsafe, or breaches these terms.
8. Health and wellbeing
You are responsible for informing us in advance of any medical condition, injury, or circumstance that may affect your participation. Our training does not diagnose or treat any medical or psychological condition. If you have any health concerns, please seek advice from a qualified medical professional before attending.
9. Venue
Most courses take place at the Intimacy Matters treatment venue near Sloane Square, Chelsea, Central London, SW1. In certain circumstances courses may be arranged at private venues in the UK or abroad by prior agreement.
10. Intellectual property
All course materials, PDFs, written content, images and other resources provided to you remain our intellectual property or that of our licensors. They are provided for your personal use only and may not be copied, shared, resold or distributed without our written permission.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability in connection with any course, session or event is limited to the fees you paid for it.
12. Privacy
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Notice. Please read it to understand how we collect and use your information.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this website at the time of your booking applies to that booking.
